

Our mission
The WIC Program at MFHS helps pregnant women, mothers and caregivers of infants and young children learn about good nutrition to keep themselves and their families healthy. It provides nutrition services, breastfeeding support, health care and social service referrals and healthy foods to eligible participants.
Who can apply for WIC?
· Pregnant women
· Women who are breastfeeding a baby under one year of age
· Women who have had a baby in the past six months
· Children under age 5: parents, step-parents, guardians, and foster parents of children under age five can apply for their children.
Many working families qualify for WIC.
Maternal and Family Health Services Mobile Unit is Serving Bradford, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties, the MFHS Mobile Unit brings essential health and wellness services directly to families who need them most. This traveling clinic increases access to care by offering convenient, community‑based support—including reproductive health services, maternal and child health resources, WIC connections, education, and referrals.
By meeting families where they are, the MFHS Mobile Unit helps reduce barriers, strengthen community health, and ensure that parents, caregivers, and children receive the guidance and services they deserve. It’s a flexible, family‑focused resource designed to make quality care more accessible across rural Pennsylvania.
